The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of effective leadership. Leadership meetings play a crucial role more than ever, and it is vital that the C-Suite realises the connection between productivity, decision-making efficiency, and their number one leadership instrument: meetings.
At the end of 2020, Sherpany commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a custom study on meeting management. The research gathered valuable insights from the C-Suite from five European countries, across industries such as Finance, Energy, Healthcare and others.
The results show that meetings increased in frequency during the pandemic. However, around 50% of respondents stated that their meetings were unproductive - despite being critical to decision-making.
- Loss of competitive edge
- Limited adaptability and execution of business continuity plans
- Reduced speed-to-market
are among the main consequences of unproductive meetings as highlighted by leaders.
